Allie is an Associate Professional and National Certified Counselor, earning her M.Ed. and Ed.S degrees in Counselor Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clemson University. She completed her practicum at an inpatient psychiatric hospital and her internship within a college counseling center. Since graduating, Allie has worked primarily in psychiatric and medical settings providing therapy and completing assessments for clients with wide ranges of life concerns and cultural backgrounds.
Allie believes that building more authentic relationships with ourselves and others can open the door to uniquely fulfilling and meaningful experiences. She also believes that each client is unique, and will vary in their responses to different therapeutic approaches. She utilizes techniques from many different modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy, although she considers herself first and foremost Person-Centered. Allie specializes in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance abuse. She sees adolescents and adults for individual therapy; practicing at the Sharpsburg location
