Jessica Coleman, APC

Jessica Coleman is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor practicing at
Discovery Counseling’s Sharpsburg location. She earned a Bachelor of Science in
Psychology and a Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the
University of West Georgia. With experience in both group and individual counseling
settings, Jessica has worked extensively with adolescents and adults in short-and-longterm
capacities.

Jessica is passionate about empowering clients to lead their own journey towards
healing and growth. She has experience supporting individuals facing depression,
anxiety, relationship difficulties, challenges in neurodiversity (such as autism and
ADHD), gender dysphoria, trauma, identity crisis, disordered eating, mood disorders,
grief, and more. She enjoys, and is passionate about, working with marginalized and
minority populations, and believes that everyone deserves a chance at a quality level of
life.

Jessica tailors her counseling approach to meet each client’s unique needs, drawing
from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems,
Person-Centered Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Psychodynamics. Central to her
practice is Transactional Analysis, where she helps clients recognize and modify
interpersonal patterns to foster lasting change and stability. She guides clients in
identifying and reclaiming control over their lives in a healthy, empowering manner.
Jessica prioritizes establishing a genuine human connection with her clients,
emphasizing authenticity and mutual commitment to the therapeutic journey. She
stands beside her clients in their efforts for change, provided they are ready to engage
in the work.

Jessica strives to cultivate a holistic, nurturing therapeutic environment where clients
can authentically explore and understand themselves. Her goal is to empower clients to
discover their own path towards a more fulfilling life, respecting their autonomy and
individuality throughout the therapeutic journey.

Jessica is practicing under the supervision of Alzi Faubion, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S.
